When news broke of Kristina O’Neill’s departure as editor-in-chief of WSJ. Magazine back in May, concerns arose about the magazine’s future. However, it seems those concerns were unnecessary. The publication’s new editor Sarah Bell has captured attention with a series of covers in recent months, featuring Jennifer Aniston, Linda Evangelista, and Kylie Jenner. The latest cover star? None other than Angelina Jolie, gracing the digital edition of the magazine for December 2023/January 2024. Fresh from appearing on American Vogue, Jolie poses for photographer Annemarieke van Drimmelen in a striking black and white portrait cover image, styled by Tonne Goodman.
Forum members on theFashionSpot were impressed with the cover. “How gorgeous!” declared PowerDroid as soon as the cover was revealed.
“That’s a stunning cover, that should have been printed,” chimed in mepps.
“What’s up with Angelina getting digital covers now? A big WTF if you ask me. First that missed opportunity with US Vogue for November and now this?” WAVES voiced.
“WSJ. Magazine can just do no wrong, in my opinion. How heavenly to imagine this level of cover story for American Harper’s Bazaar. I am 100% here for this, flawless from start to finish. Not even a massive Angelina Jolie fan, but she has photographed wonderfully via the lens of Annemarieke van Drimmelen here,” admired vogue28.
Forum member thenewclassic described the accompanying cover feature as “beautiful” and we could not agree more.
