Guests at Walt Disney World who purchase Park Hopper tickets or are Annual Passholders now have the ability to visit Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom all in the same day. Our guide to Park Hopping provides you with important information, tips, and strategies to maximize your enjoyment. (Updated January 9, 2024.)
In a significant update, all-day Park Hopping is back at Walt Disney World. For the first time in 4 years, guests with a Park Hopper ticket or an Annual Pass can visit another Walt Disney World theme park at any time of day during regular park hours. This removes the previous restriction that limited Park Hopper access to after 2 p.m. each day. The only limitation now is the park’s capacity. Although the risk of being turned away at the entrance exists, it has been a rare occurrence. Only once during the post-reopening era did it happen, on October 1 at Magic Kingdom, the day of the park’s 50th Anniversary. Therefore, there is no cause for concern. However, if you’re still worried about the capacity status of a park, you can call Walt Disney World’s Park Hopping phone line at (407) 560-5000.
Several changes have been made to improve the guest experience in 2024, including bringing back the Disney Dining Plan, ending park reservations for most guests, and the pre-booking of Lightning Lane ride reservations. With Park Hopping returning to normal, transportation between the theme parks is now available from 10:00 a.m. onwards every day. The monorail can be taken when traveling between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, while other transportation options include the Skyliner gondolas, boats, or walking. It is recommended to avoid using bus transportation when possible.
Guests are also now able to join one attraction virtual queue at any theme park where they have valid admission, which adds a new layer of convenience and strategy to maximize the enjoyment of the parks.
Different Park Hopping strategies can be utilized to ensure an efficient and enjoyable experience. One approach is to start the day by focusing on Disney’s Hollywood Studios due to its high-profile headlining attractions. This can provide a significant advantage by reducing wait times and maximizing the enjoyment of the park.
